True to it's name, this modern pub and kitchen, named after the nearby brewers, is painted a rather serious slatey-grey. But don't be put off; inside is a comfortable, architecturally stunning traditional bar and lounge. While a lot of the original listed building has been preserved, on the whole the décor is very 21st century. But the socialising goes way back; this has been a licensed premises since 1870. Grub is modern British, so expect posh comfort food to eat with your ale or wine. The clientele is predominantly professionals. Tables are put out at the front when the weather's good. DJs play on Fridays.
