If you want to eat beautiful food in a beautiful setting, get yourself down to Opium Bar & Restaurant for a beautiful evening. The restaurant was designed by Paris-based Miguel Cancio Martines in Indochine style with ornate wooden screens, bespoke French furniture, a winter garden, fountain, and golden Shiva. The food has all the fresh, healthy flavours of Vietnamese cuisine filtered through the fineness of French technique, and features amazing flavours like cari do bien, a glazed seafood and coconut curry with jasmine rice, or quay tom hum, baked whole lobster with Vietnamese style dressing and ginger. The bar is reminiscent of an opium den, and the fabulous drinks might have a similar effect. DJ's bring you world music of a very high order, and chanteuses appear from time to time to sing their hearts out for you. It attracts a stylish crowd of upmarket trendsetters.Average price - £35 (€51)Opium In-house bar The man behind Buddha Bar and Man Ray has done it once again. Opium's opulent bar is certainly the place to be, and be seen. Some fab drinks too...
