The Slug and Lettuce - Reading

Reading's Slug forms part of The Oracle shopping centre stretching along both sides of the River Kennet. Needless to say, the crowd is usually business lunchers and shoppers popping in for a rest and a bite to eat. In summer, you can relax al fresco overlooking the water. Everything we've come to expect from the brand is here; modern décor, lots of wood, a big bar lined with attractively neat rows of wines and spirits, comfy sofa areas. And last but not least, a reliably tasty menu to suit all moods - from finger food, wraps and classic salads to sharers, big mains and bruschettas. The place gets very busy with twentysomethings at weekends.
