The Old Trout is full of surprises, and there is something of interest around every corner. This 500 year old hotel and restaurant never fails to delight as you wander around its narrow passages ducking your head as you search for your room.
Its history is as idiosyncratic as the building itself, and standing in the flag-stoned bar your mind wanders back in time and you can just imagine how it might have looked. Before its transformation into a restaurant, this charming hotel was an antique shop and prior to that, a row of tiny cottages.
Although the guest bedrooms are quirky (one of the rooms is accessed by a door just three foot high) you will find comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms and a high standard of service to ensure that you get a relaxing nights sleep.
