Please Note: There is no access from Junction 23a from the North, but there is a new junction, 24a, which is now the closest point to Castle Donington from the North.
Local Area: Walk along Market Street to Borough Street, this is the largely unaltered late 18th/19th century main shopping street. The Church of St Edward the Martyr is a splendid example of 12th Century ecclesiastical building boasting fine tombs with excellent brass-rubbing possibilities, and a very rare architectural feature: a 'double-squint'.
