The Star Inn was built in the 1345; its first recorded refurbishment was in 1450! The Inn dates back from 1345 which makes it one of England's oldest hostelries, the half-timbered Star Inn is in Alfriston's centre - ideal for the South Down's Trail, opera at Glyndebourne or the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry.
