The Star Inn

The Star Inn was built in the 1345; its first recorded refurbishment was in 1450! Since that time it has seen many changes, and today offers its guests a unique blend of oak beams, open fires, intimate atmosphere and traditional hospitality alongside the modern comforts of its well-appointed guest accommodation.

The Inn dates back from 1345 which makes it one of England's oldest hostelries, the half-timbered Star Inn is in Alfriston's centre - ideal for the South Down's Trail, opera at Glyndebourne or the Newhaven-Dieppe ferry.

The Star Inn offers great facilities including a restaurant for traditional meals and a bar serving snacks. Local activities include golf and horse riding.
