The Royalist is a grade II listed building that ranks amongst the top 4% of protected buildings in the country, and certified as the Oldest Inn in England, dating from 947AD. This is authenticated in The Guinness Book of Records.

A 14 bedroom hotel in the bustling village of Stow-on-the-Wold in England's back garden of the Cotswolds. This honey coloured stone village hasn't changed much over the last five centuries and every building expresses its rich history like a painting, the hotel sits centrally in the picture with all of the antique shops, galleries and bric-a-brac stores that you may expect to find in this idyll.

14 bedrooms in total: 10 bedrooms all very individual and named around the events and history of the area are situated in the main house. A further 4 bedrooms were converted from the cottage adjoining the hotel in 2006. These 4 rooms are standard rooms decorated in the style of the cavalier suite.
