Quiet and easy reach by road or 5 minutes from train service to Liverpool City Centre and waterfront. Also Southport and golf courses.
At Formby Point is the largest stretch of natural sand dunes in England which is home to rare animals and plants including Natterjack Toads , sand lizards and the Dune Hellebore.
The pine woods between the sea and the town of Formby are one of the last places in the country to see the rare red squirrel. Nearby is Formby Squirrel Reserve. Red squirrels can frequently be seen in the pine trees and the shoreline attracts waders such as oystercatchers and sanderlings. As well as the beautiful beach there are miles of walks across the sand dunes and through the woods.
A truly lovely place to visit!
