Witton Castle is situated just 4 miles west of Bishop Aukland, on the outskirts of the village of Witton le Wear.
Witton Castle Caravan Park is set in 200 acres of mature parkland, which is overlooked by a spectacular 15th century castle. The caravan park has a number of owner occupied caravan holiday homes, and also contains 183 mixed pitches for guests who wish to bring their own caravans and camping equipment. Witton Castle has an excellent range of facilities including a modern shower/toilet block, restaurant, bar, laundry room; games room, shop and children's play area.
The local area hosts a range of attractions including Durham city with it's beautiful cathedral and cobbled streets. Witton Castle is also a great base from which to explore the North Pennines, Yorkshire Dales and North Yorkshire Moors, which offer a wide range walking trails for all abilities.

Been going to Witton Castle for the past 15 years, yes the place has gone down the bank over the past 5 years. The showers and toilets need to be replaced they are old and dirty the cleaners try to keep them clean but it is not possible ... Read More
