You will find us 5 miles north of Ripon off the A6108, on the banks of the River Ure. The name is derived from the old English 'slea' meaning grassy slope near the ford over the river. A corn-mill has occupied this site since at least the 14thC.
The mill you see today, though intact, stands idle, setting the scene as a place of peace and tranquillity. With a mix of renovated old cobblestone buildings and purpose built amenity blocks, Sleningford has retained a rustic charm.
We are a David Bellamy Gold Award Conservation Park set in 14 acres of beautiful meadowland providing a friendly haven for many different wild flowers and birds and offering excellent facilities for comfortable caravanning and camping.
