Old Down Touring Park

Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty, Old Down Touring Park is a friendly, family run site on the edge of the Mendip Hills. We are ideally situated for visiting Wells Cathedral City, Bath, Bristol, Glastonbury and The Bath and West Showground at Shepton Mallet.

Cheddar Gorge is just a short drive away as is Longleat. Covering an area of 4 acres, which is surrounded by mature trees, we offer a level site with pitches placed around an ancient oak tree, which is believed to be over 250 years old. Some all weather pitches are available.

Old Down's toilet facilities are spotlessly clean and modern with free hot showers, hair dryers in the ladies and shaver points in the gents. We have a small shop selling local milk and eggs and newspapers can be ordered. There is also a small library and a comprehensive selection of tourist brochures. The village of Chilcompton is just 1 mile away, where can be found a village shop, post office, petrol station and The Somerset Wagon pub.
