Cae Gwyn Farm and Nature Reserve offers an ideal campsite for Coed y Brenin mountain-bikers (direct off-road access through our farmland to the Karrimor and MBR trails 0.5 mile away), walkers wishing to explore the Rhinogs, and nature lovers just wishing to relax in the unspoilt natural setting.

We limit the number of tents in order to ensure that your camping experience is a personal one, and you may book our camping barn for private usage. We also have a raised patio area with tables and chairs where you are welcomed to have a picnic and evening drinks.

For mountain bikers, we offer bike-friendly accommodation and lock-up/ bike-washing facilities. Our South-East part of land borders the Coed y Brenin forest, so you can leave your car behind and ride out for the day straight from the farm gate.

For walkers, public footpaths cross our land and provide one of the few close access points to the Rhinog mountain range, close to the famous Roman Steps and the Cambrian Way. We ha

Getting There
Approaching from the Manchester/Liverpool/Chester area:Take the A494 to Bala then turn right onto the A4212 to Trawsfynydd. Turn left onto the A470 heading South to Dolgellau. We are three miles on the right shortly after the small village of Bronaber - after a telephone box and a chapel (seen on your left), watch out for a small white arrow-shaped sign 'Cae Gwyn Farm B&B'on your right, then you will soon see a brown sign 'Cae Gwyn Farm B&B' on the right on our entrance.Approaching from the Birmingham/Shrewsbury area:Turn left onto the A458 to Welshpool and Dolgellau where you will join up with the A470. Continue on this road bypassing Dolgellau town and carry on for a further ten miles. Cae Gwyn is on the left hand side, as you come out of Coed-y-Brenin Forest. Wa
