Nelson is a great Glenelg River holiday spot. Near the roaring ocean beach, the calmer estuary beach, and the truly magnificent Glenelg River, of which the last 50km flows gently through the Lower Glenelg National Park. The Lower Glenelg National Park is an ideal place for picnics, bushwalking, birdwatching, fishing, flat water canoeing, swimming, snorkelling and water skiing.
