When Everton left Anfield in 1892 in a dispute over rent, club chairman John Houlding vowed to see football continue at Anfield, creating a club that has gone on to be England's most successful football club, with a record 18 League Championships, 14 League and FA cups and most impressively 5 European trophies.
Liverpool fans now have the opportunity to take a stadium tour behind the scenes at Anfield, visiting the dressing rooms where the Liverpool Greats including Kevin Keegan, Kenny Dalgilsh, Ian Rush, Robbie Fowler, Michael Owen and Steven Gerrard, have prepared for matches.
Fans also get the chance to touch the 'This is Anfield' sign as they walk down the tunnel to the sound of the crowd, sit in the dug outs and take in the impressive views of the stadium from one of football's most famous terraces; 'The Kop'.
Fans can also visit the museum, which features two movies recalling glorious moments in Liverpool's history. The first movie tells the story of the incredible 'Kopites', recreating the atmosphere in the Kop before seating was introduced. The second movie entitled ' One Night in May' provides an excellent documentary of the famous, nail-biting victory in Istanbul. Visitors can also see the vast array of silverwear liverpool fc has collected over the last 100 hundred years, with the FA cup the most recent addition.
