House for An Art Lover

The House for an Art Lover is a truly unique venue, located in Parkland, adjacent to the magnificent Victorian Walled Gardens. It provides an excellent resource for the works and history of Charles Rennie Mackintosh.

Glasgow's most celebrated architect, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, designed the building in 1901. However he never saw the completion of the project and his original visions were realised by a team of contemporary artists and crafts people.

The cafe provides a bright, contemporary dining space and the shop stocks a contemporary collection based on Rennie Mackintosh designs. The venue has an excellent reputation for executing a wide range of social functions and corporate events.
