Liverpool's World Museum first opened in 1851 containing a natural history collection, which was donated in a will. It has since doubled in size as a result of a spectacular £35 million project which has brought in a range of new exhibitions and displays.

The museum is split up in to different sections, including World Cultures, the Bug House, the Aquarium, the Western Discovery Centre, Natural History centre alongside the amazing planetarium. The museum offers something for everybody, which is why it has become such a popular destination for all those who visit Liverpool.

The top floor of the museum has a fantastic café with views across the city of Liverpool, offering a selection of hot and cold meals, snacks, cakes and beverages. The museum also contains a Fair Trade shop, which sells a wide range of jewellery, crafts, chocolate and gift ideas from around the globe. The museum also contains a toyshop for the younger generation, with a selection of souvenirs, toys and books.
