Built into the remains of a Victorian fort guarding the northwestern shore of the Isle of Wight, Fort Victoria Aquarium offers tanks containing a fascinating selection of the fish and invertebrates, which are found in the local sea and on the seashore.
Most visitors are amazed that the murky waters of the Solent can contain so many fascinating creatures. As a bonus the last room of the aquarium, contains some of the stunning inhabitants of tropical reefs.
The aquarium is a fascinating family visit and a popular destination for school and other groups, open from Easter to the end of October.
