The Museum features special exhibitions about Dickens's life and works as well as occasional exhibitions by contemporary artists. The Charles Dickens Museum in London is the world's most important collection of material relating to the great Victorian novelist and social commentator.

The only surviving London home of Dickens was opened as a Museum in 1925 and is still welcoming visitors from all over the world in an authentic and inspiring surrounding. On four floors, visitors can see paintings, rare editions, manuscripts, original furniture and many items relating to the life of one of the most popular and beloved personalities of the Victorian age.

I have was very disappointed in this museum, I had been looking forward to finding out more about Charles Dickens, but this museum revealed nothing. The basement had an unrelated 'authentic replication' laundry room and 'dicken's wine cellar' (read broken bottles in a wall), and the rest of the museum was badly laid out and very poorly executed ...
