The Castle Hostel is situated in Ballycastle, gateway to the Glens of Antrim and the Giants Causeway. The residence is famous amongst backpackers for its friendliness and is independently owned and open all year round.

Many nights are spent round the open fire sharing stories and experiences. It is not unknown for people to come for one night and stay for a week. The Hostel is warm, clean and most importantly, very welcoming. Facilities include Small Dorms, free hot showers, international telephone service, two fully equipped kitchens, including ovens and microwaves, private rooms, common room/TV room, free tea and coffee and a great deal more.

The Castle is in a perfect location, only fifty metres from one of the cleanest beaches in Ireland and within walking distance to local amenities. Ballycastle is a very deceptive town, although it is small, it has some of the best nightlife in Ireland. The town is famous for its traditional music, which you can listen to live most nights and admission is free. Further Information: There are nearly 20 bars in the town, make sure to prepare yourself because the fun can go on all night! The town is very safe and the locals are extremely welcoming to visitors.
Getting There: From Belfast: take the M2 motorway to Ballymena, at Ballymena follow the signs for Ballycastle. You can also take the scenic route along the coast. From Derry: Take the A2 Road from Derry.
