A1 Playfair House Hostel is in a historic Edinburgh town house built in 1821 in the Edinburgh New Town Preservation area. This is the Edinburgh Hostel with the feel of a "real house" not an institution!

The hostel offers various kinds of accommodation including private rooms and shared rooms. From single beds (no bunks), private double rooms and everything in between can be found here. Guests are free to use the hot showers, clean bed linen and fully equipped self-catering kitchen.
