The Lowry

The Lowry is situated in a beautiful waterside location in the recently redeveloped Salford Quays, just a short drive from the city centre of Manchester.

The Lowry opened in April 2000, bringing together an eclectic mix of performing and visual arts under one roof. The Lowry hosts two theatres and studio space for performing arts, presenting a full range of drama, opera, ballet, dance, musicals, children's shows, popular music and comedy. The Lowry also hosts a large gallery, which displays the works of LS Lowry, alongside contemporary exhibitions.

The Lowry also contains a restaurant, and cafes and bars which are located on the southern side of the building, with spectacular views overlooking the expansive Manchester Ship Canal.
