The Plantagenet Hotel provides affordable motel style accommodation at Mount Barker. The Plantagenet Hotel was opened in 1912 and to this day has managed to retain its two-storey, federation style with its unique apple motifs carved into the verandah posts and balcony.
Rooms range from traditional hotel rooms with old four-poster beds to more modern motel rooms and all include a TV, writing desk, electric blankets, fans, heaters and extra bedding. Some rooms have access to DVD and VCR players; the hotel has shared bathrooms and kitchen.
Open log fires in the dining room and bars add to the cosy, friendly atmosphere while enjoying your meals with your favourite glass of local wine. Being one of the many historical landmark jewels of the area the Plantagenet Hotel is a must stay when visiting the Great Southern.
