Bryn Elltyd is one of the leading environmentally friendly Guest Houses in Wales and is situated in the heart of the Snowdonia National Park near Blaenau Ffestiniog in North Wales. We provide comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation and evening meals in a scenic lakeside location. At the foot of the Moelwyn mountain range, this is an ideal location for exploring Snowdonia and the rest of North Wales.
The house was built in 1883 and is 1 mile away from the old slate mining town of Blaenau Ffestiniog. You have the choice of half or full board B&B accommodation in en-suite rooms with superb mountain views. All 6 rooms have en-suite facilities and the family room, which is located next to the south facing sun lounge and has views of the garden and Moelwyn Mountains. Upstairs is a double and single room with views across the lake to the Arenig Mountains. 3 bedrooms are located on the ground floor with zip and link beds, providing double or twins.
We provide a warm and friendly atmosphere and use local and organic produce and Fair Trade Products and encourage sustainable practices. Bob Cole is a qualified Mountain Leader and member of the British Association of European Mountain Leaders and offers guided walking or scrambling, and caters for both individuals and groups. We are open all year and have an acre of semi wild grounds with beautiful mountain scenery in the centre of the Snowdonia National Park.
