Held on the second and fourth Saturday of the month in picturesque Stan Topper Park (at the top of Memorial Avenue, the main shopping street), the market is run by pomona inc. and helps to support the Old Pomona Railway Art Gallery and other community projects.
Stalls set up at around 6.30 am and trade till 12 noon. Merchandise varies, but some of the goodies on regular offer include home-grown in-season produce, a wide range of native and exotic plants and seedlings, herbs, crafts and bric-a-brac, etc.
Enjoy a sausage and onion sanger freshly barbequed in the rotunda by pomona inc. volunteers. Cold drinks, tea and coffee also available. You might be lucky enough to find Ron West (owner and pipe organ virtuoso of the famous Majestic Silent Picture Theatre) at the business end of the barbie - he loves the market atmosphere, as do our visitors.
