Spicer Caravan Park offers cabin and caravan accommodation in Parkes, NSW. The site is set on 10 acres of grassy parkland in a quiet location, less than 5 minutes walk from town. With powered motor home and caravan sites, unpowered camping sites, as well as fully contained cabins, Spicer Caravan Park caters for all types of holiday.

The onsite cabins include air-conditioning, TV, kitchenette and bathroom. The park features large clean amenities blocks as well as a laundry room, free BBQ's and children's play area. Parkes was well known for it's gold mining in the last century, and now is primarily an agricultural area.

Things to see and do in Parkes include visiting the great interactive displays at the Parkes Radio Telescope, hiking in the Goobang National Park, see if you can strike it rich at the Peak Hill Gold Mine, going to Bushmans Hill - site of one of the first gold mines in Parkes or seeing the Motor Museum & Craft Corner.

Location: The Spicer Park Caravan Park is located on the corner of Bushmans and Albert Street. If travelling from Dubbo turn left off the Newell Highway into Bushmans Street (first roundabout into Parkes), the Spicer Park Caravan Park is only a short drive from there. If travelling from the south you can turn right into Bushamns Street at the last roundabout on Clarinda Street (Main street of Parkes).

We stayed there recently and found it quiet and reasonably priced. . Some of the sites are not level and would require levelling devices as some slope up and some slope sideways. Very good clean ammenities ... Read More (Date of experience: Aug, 2011 )

Older managers set the platform for a nice place to stay with clean cabins, toilets, lost its way a bit a few years ago but new management has brought it back a to new standard, sites under the peppercorn tree would be nice, very shady ... Read More
