The Grapes Hotel is a Grade II listed building and a 17th century "Coaching Inn" with an ancient cellar is known to date back to the 13th century. The hotel has had many famous visitors such as the great statesman Lloyd George and Lilley Langtry. Legend has it that the hotel has ghosts as sometimes a little old lady in Victorian clothing is said to appear downstairs. The Grapes has been renowned for its fine ales for nearly 3 centuries. This is a unique establishment with great history.

The Grapes Hotel is first and foremost a pub but it does offer letting rooms. All the rooms are en-suite. There is accommodation also available to the rear of the main hotel in The Old Brew House, which has recently been refurbished to a high standard. There are 2 self-contained en-suite units sleeping up to 4 guests and are ideal for families. It also provides delicious home cooked meals.

The Grapes Hotel is a winner of the C.A.M.R.A Real Ale Pub of the Year and is recommended by The Good Pub Guide, Which? Guide To Country Pubs, Family Welcome Guide, Britain's Best Pubs and many more.
