Green Frog Terrace Cafe

Part of the sprawling Free Spirit Resort, Green Frog Cafe is the complex's casual diner, open to resort guests and drop-in visitors looking for a relaxed meal along the outer-suburban stretch of the Stuart Highway.

Green Frog Cafe consists of plastic chairs on a paved terrace, backed by a huge mural of a waterfall pouring into a rainforest lagoon. You can also sit on polished stools overlooking the pool, and with a flat screen TV and regularly barbecue nights, Green Frog has a great chilled-out atmosphere for lazing with a drink in the evening.

Green Frog is a fine place to enjoy oysters, and they come a variety of ways including Thai-style: served warm and topped with fresh coriander and spicy sauce. For mains, sample the rustic twice-cooked lamb shank with garlic and rosemary mash, or homemade beef lasagne cooked with sweet tomato sauce and topped with mozzarella.
