The Roma Bar first opened its doors in 1973. It has since become a favourite meeting place for journos, musos, pollies, lefties and lawyers as well as those who just love good coffee.
Equipped with great coffee, The Roma Bar is well barrista-ed and presented. Locals know its reputation as well as travellers who have suffered the anguish of espresso deprivation on the long trek north to Darwin.
The style of food available moves through tropical, traditional and Asian influenced, to The Roma Bar's own very good ideas - from the exotic daily specials to the eggs and bacon breakfasts. The Roma Bar make their own roti, cereal thriller and many other delights.
