In September 2001, restaurateur Chris Bodker (of London's Kensington Place) opened his first hotel in the heart of London's fashionable theatreland. West Street, which has just three suites, is best described as a 'restaurant with rooms'.
Of the three guest suites, the Loft is the largest and features contemporary design, high ceilings, beautiful stained oak floors and a huge brown-and-white cow-skin rug. The Stone room is smaller, but has the advantage of a spacious terrace for summer drinks parties, and the White Room is pure fantasy, with white-marble floors, a bright-red leather sofa and a mirrored wall.
