Ardverikie Castle

Built in the Scottish baronial style in 1870, Ardverikie Castle is one of the finest private houses in the Scottish highlands. Recognizable from its starring role in the BBC drama, "Monarch of the Glen", the castle also played host to Queen Victoria and Prince Albert for a month in 1847 before she bought Balmoral.

You too can experience the delights of this stunning location, by booking a holiday in one of the five self-catering houses on the estate. The houses and cottages are scattered within the bounds of the estate which is situated mostly on the southeast side of Loch Laggan. Set amid striking scenery with lochs, woods and mountains, the estate offers a wide range of outdoor activities including birdwatching, stag feeding, fishing and spectacular landscapes for photographers.

Ardverikie is also the perfect venue for arranging corporate events, or special occasions, and as wedding venues go they just do not get more romantic than Ardverikie.
