Kalbarri Canoe and Cray Carnival

An action packed day is being planned for everyone to enjoy at this year's Canoe and Cray Carnival held in the picturesque town of Kalbarri.

This annual event is coming up for its fifth year of success, promoting competitive canoe events down the Murchison River, and many land based fun activities for families and children throughout the day.

A highlight will be "Pirates of the Murchison" which involves a pirate ship anchored in the Murchison River with mischievous pirates. Teams construct their own watercraft and decorate to a theme of their choice. The winner is judged as the most creative craft and best-dressed crew. If you can't participate actively, bring down a chair and be a spectator.

Delicious food will be available, with market stalls and activities all day, followed by a crayfish cook up and entertainment in the evening,
