Getting There: Hele Valley is situated within the beautiful valley of Hele Bay, just one mile east of Ilfracombe Town Centre and Ilfracombe Bus Station. A regular bus service offers routes to and from Ilfracombe, Barnstaple and Combe Martin from the A399. Taxis are abundant offering an extremely reasonable fair and Barnstaple offers our nearest railway station, just 12 miles from Ilfracombe.

We have just returned from a wet weekend in Hele Valley. We arrived at reception to find it was closed for 2 hours for lunch (not a good start). After being dealt with by the manager & advised that there was a "noisy group of people" nearby but that we should call (during the night) if necessary & the problem would be dealt with, we were directed to our pitch which was completely waterlogged ...
