Cairngorm Reindeer Centre

The Cairngorm Reindeer Herd offers the unique opportunity to visit the UK's only herd of reindeer, in the Cairngorm mountains, just six miles from Aviemore, Scotland.

The reindeer were re-introduced into Scotland in 1952 by a Swedish Reindeer Herder. The herd is free ranging and has grown in numbers over the years.

The reindeers are very tame and under the supervision of trained guides, visitors can feed and stroke the reindeer. This is a fantastic opportunity to encounter reindeers living freely in the wild. These extremely friendly animals are a joy to all who come and see them.
