The Swan Theatre is a wonderfully atmospheric galleried playhouse that was built inside the shell of the original Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, which was destroyed by fire in 1926, the new building was built in 1932.
The inside of the building has been designed to reflect an actual Elizabethan style theatre and provides a glimpse into the bygone years of theatre attendance.
The theatre showcases a number of classic Shakespeare plays, many of which are acted by well renowned thespians.
