The Picture House in Bristol boasts an inspired a la carte menu by head chef Nathan Muir, which features fresh fish, meats and locally sourced produce, as well as several imaginative vegetarian dishes. A lively addition to the menu is an extensive choice of tapas, comprising over 25 exquisite 'little dishes', which include lyonnaise potatoes, saffron and anise cured salmon and roast peppers with goats cheese.
The menu is complimented by the well stocked bar with an eclectic mix of cocktails, and a fine range of spirits - the knowledgeable bar staff will be happy to recommend something you are guaranteed to want to sample again - and again! There is also a wide range of New World wines, hinting at owner Nicholas Armitages' New Zealand connections.
To maintain its connections with the silver screen, there are regular showings of old movies and select sporting events for the few lucky punters that happen to amble in on leisurely Sunday afternoons.
The Picture House has positioned itself comfortably between café, bar and restaurant where customers can enjoy a luxurious three course meal or happily whittle away the hours over cream teas or a drink with friends.
