Koko is a state of the art versatile venue, which can adapt to house small intimate comedy acts or accommodate large-scale gigs with 1500 capacity. The building has had a rich and varied history, beginning life as a theatre and then turning into a music venue in the 1980's, when it was known as Camden Palace.
A diverse range of acts have played over the years and up and coming headliners include, Tom Yorke, Babyshambles, Kasabian, Madonna and the NME Award show. Club NME attracts well known artists and guest djs such as Thea Gilmore, The Orb, The Boyfriends & The Voom Blooms.
The ground floor consists of a sweeping tiered dance floor leading up to the main stage, accompanied by three main bars. This multifunctional area adapts itself to corporate dining events or cabaret nights, as well as gigs.
The first and upper circle provides a secluded and luxurious space for VIP's or private parties, with their own bars and seperate soundsystem in the upper circle. Backstage has been designed into the best green room in London, complete with a bar, bathroom suite, dressing room and entertainment equipment.
