A very smart and up-to-the-minute warehouse space in BoHo Shoreditch, the Rivington Grill Bar Deli has an awkward name but a graceful welcome. The very groovy leather-sofa'ed bar offers terrific cocktails and a wonderful place to chill and meet friends and the front-of-house deli sells delicious treats to take home with you. But it's the main restaurant we want to focus on here -- the whitewashed walls are a perfect backdrop for artworks dotting the walls by local artists, including Tracy Emin. Honest British stalwart cooking is what you'll find, from devilled kidneys on toast to nursery foods like fish fingers with mushy peas or steamed smoked haddock with poached egg. The wine list suits many wallets and the ambience is sophisticated and relaxed."The blend of white walls and wooden floors makes for a tranquil Sunday lunch, although BritArtists are regular customers.
