Ambleside YHA is situated beside the lake in Ambleside in the heart of the Lake District National Park.
The YHA hosts a range rooms including doubles, and dorms sleeping up to eight people. The hostel has an excellent range of facilities including modern shower rooms, TV lounge, laundry, kitchen facilities, games room, café and BBQ area.
The hostel is in an excellent location, just a short stroll centre of Ambleside, which hosts a range of shops, cafes, pubs and museums. Guests have easy access to Lake Windermere where regular boat trips leave on a daily basis, alongside water sports such as windsailing. The hostel is also an excellent base for walking enthusiasts wanting to get out and explore the local fells.

The hostel itself is situated in an extremely good area. It is very quiet and only one mile from ambleside centre. There are a few shops about 100m from the hostel and a boat hire centre also.
