Spitalfields houses a diverse, multicultural community and is famed for its market and Victorian lanes. It has a rich history, yet overflows with contemporary culture and has become a vibrant centre for the arts.
Spitalfields Festival has been running for 30 years, where you can discover over 70 music, education events, walks, talks, workshops and exhibitions spread throughout a number of well selected venues.
The festival celebrates musical diversity, through the exploration of local immigrant groups and the showcasing of international artists alongside local celebrities, generally of a classical genre. To see the list of venues please click on the website link below.

- Please Note
- Tickets are always available for £5 and some of the venues are free and a number of concessions are available. Doors open 30 mins before starting and there is wheelchair access at all the venues and hearing loops at venue box office.
- Special Features
- New music has always been a feature of Spitalfields Festival, helping to promote composers and performers. At least one new work is commissioned every year, as well as presenting numerous premieres.
