Shoreditch Festival

The parks, gardens, streets, historical buildings and extraordinary venues come alive in Shoreditch to celebrate the work of contemporary artists, performers and entertainers. A mix of small and large events showcase live music, theatre, dance, visual arts, performance and plenty of children's events.

This year's festival celebrated all the different meanings of 'Journeys' in a packed programme over two weeks in August. The festival attracts crowds of over 14,000, involved around 1000 community members, raised money for local regeneration and is consequently seen as one of London 's most innovative community festivals.

The Shoreditch Festival brings together young and old, different cultures, local residents and professional artists. It enables the many local groups, businesses, schools, artists and individuals within the community to become involved in the regeneration of Shoreditch.
