The Cape Wrath Hotel stands on a peninsula in Sutherland, in the pristine, unspoilt northwestern corner of the Scottish Highlands.
The building is approx. 200 years old and was originally built for the Duke of Sutherland, being converted to provide excellent accommodation in 1926. The Hotel offers modern standards of comfort and service in an environment that secludes guests from modern communications, unless requested. The hotel serves excellent home-cooked meals, complimented by an extensive wine list.
Set on 40,000 acres of protected land, The Cape Wrath Hotel offers stunning views of heather clad moorland, picturesque lochs, and the rugged mountains. There is a wealth of history and nature to explore around the Hotel including the famous Clo Mor Cliffs- the highest cliffs in the country; a ruined Church founded in 722; and an Earth House of the 1st century A.D, to name but a few.
