Clapton Manor is a Tudor Grade II listed manor house that sits on top of its hill near Bourton-on-the-Water. Set in the heart of the Cotswolds in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the village of Clapton boasts the smallest church in Gloucestershire dating from the twelfth century with churchyard gates fashioned from old horseshoes.
Clapton Manor is a sixteenth century Cotswold stone house surrounded on three sides by its gardens, next to the twelfth century church of St James. The interior, with its three-foot thick stone walls, old oak beams, mullioned windows, large inglenook fireplaces and antique furniture is both informal and comfortable.
The manor has two guest rooms. The Garden Room has a large double bed ensuite bathroom with bath and shower. The Windrush Room has a super king which can be a double or a twin and has an ensuite bathroom with bath and hand shower.
