Esthwaite Water is situated near the Village of Hawkshead, in between the popular towns of Ambleside and Windermere.

Esthwaite Water is an idyllic location for anglers with breathtaking scenery and the largest stocked lake in the North West of England, with a range of trout and pike.

Esthwaite Water Trout Fishery provides fly-fishing tuition; showing visitors how to choose a rod, reel, fly line and leaders alongside the basic fly-casting techniques. Children can also get in on the fun with a catch your own pond nest to the boathouse, where the tackle is provided.
