Sutton Pottery is a small studio workshop in rural East Norfolk, in the Broadland village of Sutton, near Stalham. Artists use the Potter's Wheel and the fire of a gas kiln to create a large range of "reduction" stoneware entirely by hand.
Malcolm Flatman has developed an assortment of practical, repeatable, replaceable and affordable tableware and kitchenware in a wide variety of glaze colours which he blends himself in the interests of consistency. Artists also produce a multitude of more decorative pieces, including house nameplates and other commissions, and some distinctive lamps.
Sutton Pottery is usually open on weekdays (excluding Bank Holidays) 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. throughout the year. As these times etc. are subject to change without notice, please phone before a special journey to avoid disappointment.
