St Mary's Church is a piece of living history, with an ever growing congregation of diverse and vibrant people, who enjoy worshipping amid this charming Grade I listed church, nestled on the banks of the River Thames. The church attracts people of all ages, they have a rich music and prayer programme and this active, intelligent and inclusive church runs services during the week, as well as on Sunday's.
Morning prayers take place every Monday and Wednesday at 8.30am. Holy Communion takes place on Tuesday at 8.30am and Thursday at 12.30am. Evening prayers begin at 5.30pm every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The Monastery Experience, a night of prayer and music commences every Wednesday at 9.15pm. The babies and toddlers service happens every Thursday at 10.15am.
Sunday services commence at 8.30am with Holy Communion using the old language and order of the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. At 11am the main Sunday morning service begins, with choir music, hymns and a modern sermon. A Sunday school runs at the crypt except for the first Sunday of the month when adults and children worship together. Evensong takes place at 6.30pm and every 3rd Sunday of the month at 7.30pm a film night and discussion is held.
