Battersea Park is located in London, just a couple of miles south of Marble Arch and offers visitors much more than just a pleasant place to walk the dog. The park attracts abundant wildlife and as you stroll through the park you will notice a diverse variety of trees, colourful flowers and attractive gardens tucked into all the corners. You can walk along woodland paths or sit with a picnic by the nature reserves.
The park facilities include a bowling green, all weather pitches, tennis courts, an adventure playground and the One O'Clock Club. You can participate in athletics, fishing, rowing, rollerblading, cycling, hockey, rugby, cricket or football. The kids will love the Childrens Fun Zoo, followed by a relaxing drink at the Lakeside Café. The pump house gallery hosts a wide range of exhibitions and Music in the Park takes place every summer.
Major events held in the park include The Chelsea Flower Show from 23rd -27th May, Chase Corporate Challenge on 4th/5th/6th July, Various World Music at the bandstand from 14th-16th July, Jamaica Fun Day on 6th August, the Thai Food Festival happens on 13th August, the fireworks display 4th November, Fun in the Sun 1st September and The Affordable Art Fair 18th - 22nd October.
