Located in the pedestrianised city centre of Canterbury, Cathedral Gate Hotel is a 1438 building, which even pre-dates the adjoining sculpted Cathedral Gateway. Although in a pedestrianised area, guests may drive to the front door for unloading before going on to park.
Spread along twisting corridors among ancient tiled rooftops, the rooms enjoy modern amenities but still bespeak their medieval construction, with massive beams, sloping floors, and tell tale low doorways. Today's pilgrims get ensuite bathrooms, in room telephones, TV etc.
The dining room is located overlooking our roof terrace, giving a sense of peace and tranquillity in this bustling Cathedral City. The quiet reading lounge, taking in it's striking view of Canterbury Cathedral is just thirty paces away, where you can enjoy tea, coffee or drinks from the small reception bar to help you relax between forays into the city life.
