John O'Groats Ferries operate a passenger ferry service departing from John O'Groats in the far north of Scotland to Orkney. The ferry operates every day all summer from 1 May to 30 September and a great range of day cruises are also available throughout the summer.

There are spectacular 90 minute afternoon cruises, or full day tours of the Orkney Islands. The tours are a great thrill for all the family and suitable for large and small groups.

You will see spectacular cliff scenery and get close to Wildlife in their natural environment including arctic skuas, storm petrels, colonies of guillemots, puffins, razorbills, kittiwakes, atlantic grey seals and much more. Full day tours include Skara Brae the Stoneage village, Scapa Flow, Stromness, Kirkwall, Churchill Barriers, Ring of Brodgar, Standing Stones of Stenness and the Italian Chapel.

John O' Groats is 123miles north of Inverness (journey time approx. 2 hours 45 minutes) and 170 miles from Ullapool following the North of Scotland Tourist Trail. There is a large free car park next to the Ferry Office. Ferry office is open from 8am to 6pm. Tickets can be booked by telephone or email and should be collected at least 30 minutes before boarding.
