Kipps Backpackers Hostel is a family run independent hostel just 10 minutes walk from Canterbury's renown cathedral and historic city centre. Popular with visitors since Roman times!

Set in a 120-year-old town house, Kipps offers a 'chilled out' and homely atmosphere with a variety of rooms from singles to eight bedded dormitories, including doubles, triples & quadruple rooms. If full there is always room in the garden for two or three tents (summer only).

Facilities include a fully equipped kitchen, a small on-site shop, in house Internet access, a TV lounge with video/DVD players and a selection of movies, laundry and drying facilities, free left luggage facility, security lockers in dormitories, ensuite dormitories, BBQ area, garden with hammocks and open fire, new conservatory for dining up to 20 guests and covered outside area for smokers.

Further Information: Reception open between 0730 and 2300hrs and 0800 and 2300hrs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. No curfew as guests' room keys open both front and rear doors. No lock out- Guests can stay in the hostel all day. No membership required. Photo ID required (passport or driver's licence).

1 night stay for daughter's graduation ceremony the following day. Hostel very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Very laid back attitude giving a relaxed feeling and a warm welcome.
