Situated in the village of Elham, Kent, The Kings Arms Public House dates back to the 16th century, though records show that in 1605, the tavern was known as the Sigmun gallery. The name is Latin for Cock Inn and at the time it entertained the now infamous "sport" of cock fighting. The name was retained for over 200 years until finally when cock fighting was banned, during the reign of King William the IV, it was renamed The Kings Arms in around 1830.

The Kings Arms is the centre of our community and provides a host of in-house entertainment for the enjoyment of both locals and visitors. For everyday fun there is a cards school and dominos players who regularly play at evenings and weekend lunch times. For the more adventurous there's a fruit machine and quiz machine to test your skills. Formal events include weekly league darts and quizzes. Bingo nights take place every other Sunday night starting 1900hr for eyes down at 1930hrs.
